Sunday Projects

The warm sunshine today made me want to be outside as much as possible. So happy that the weather is FINALLY starting to change! I decided today was the day to get around to doing some projects that have been a work in progress for a while now.

Project #1: Memo Board
I took a frame that my grandfather made from driftwood many years ago, removed the cardboard print that was in it, added some spray painted chicken wire and called it done! After looking at it for a few minutes, I decided to dig out my burlap ribbon and make a bow. Bows make everything better! The adorable clothespins were leftover from a game at my bridal shower, I like how they add a little color!

Project #2: Sign Holder

I bought most of the materials for this project more than a month ago, maybe even two. I worked on it, then put it away. Today was the day to get it finished!

Here is what I started with:

The wood post came from our local Habitat store, and the wood base I picked up at A.C. Moore.

I sanded each of them and then painted them first with Martha Stewart Living Metallic Glaze in Black Coffee, then with an Ace Paint Pod in Peppermint Patty. Once dry I sanded and distressed them both. Then attached what was once a wall hook from Kirklands.

From there we let our drills charge, (both mine & the Hubby's were completely dead) then attached the bottom!

Easy peasy super cute sign holder!
